Privacy notice

Personal information collected through 89stocks.

This notice describes the personal information that Eighty-Nine Holdings Inc. collects through 89stocks, the purposes for which it is used, where it is held, and the rights that attach to it. It applies to the public site, the waitlist and the signed-in service.

Effective 27 September 2026. Supersedes the version of 19 September 2026.

1.Responsibility

Eighty-Nine Holdings Inc., a corporation incorporated in Alberta, Canada, is responsible for the personal information collected through 89stocks. In this notice, “we” and “the corporation” refer to Eighty-Nine Holdings Inc. Questions and requests concerning this notice may be directed to tatsat@89stocks.com.

2.Information collected

(a) Waitlist. On a request for access: a name and an email address; and, at the option of the person, a telephone number and a note describing their intended use of the service. Nothing further is collected by the form.

(b) Accounts. On the opening of an account: an email address and a password. The password is held by our authentication provider in hashed form and is not accessible to the corporation in plain text. An account holder may add, and may later amend or remove, a display name, a full name, a country of residence and, for the United States, a state, an organisation, a role, sectors of interest, notification preferences, and the source from which they heard of the service.

(c) Use of the service. Watchlists, lists, followed funds and persons, insider watches, saved screens and column preferences, each held against the account that created it; and a running measure of the model-generated analysis an account has requested, used to apply the allowance that attaches to the account.

(d) Technical records. Ordinary web server logs kept by our hosting providers, which include the IP address of each request. Our own application records the IP address in hashed form for rate limiting and the investigation of abuse.

3.Purposes

Personal information is collected and used for the following purposes only:

  1. to respond to a request for access and to determine the order of invitations;
  2. to create, secure and operate an account;
  3. to provide the features of the service described in section 2(c);
  4. to send the messages described in section 4;
  5. to protect the service against abuse and unauthorised access; and
  6. to comply with applicable law.

Personal information is not sold. It is not disclosed to any third party for that party’s own marketing.

4.Electronic messages

A person on the waitlist receives only messages concerning access: an invitation when a place becomes available and, at intervals, confirmation that the request remains in the queue.

An account holder receives the service messages required to operate the account. Notices concerning scans, opening windows and changes to the product are sent only where the corresponding preference has been enabled in the account settings. Commercial electronic messages are sent only with the express consent recorded in the account, in accordance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation.

Every message identifies the sender and provides a means of unsubscribing. An unsubscribe request takes effect within ten business days.

5.Service providers and transfers outside Canada

Personal information is stored in a database operated by Supabase and served from infrastructure operated by Vercel and Render. Each processes it on the instructions of the corporation and under contract. Model-generated commentary is produced by Anthropic from company filings and price data; no personal information is included in those requests.

These providers may hold or process information on servers located outside Alberta and outside Canada, including in the United States. Information so held is subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be accessible to its courts, law enforcement and national security authorities.

6.Cookies and local storage

The site sets no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies and loads no third-party tracking scripts. When a person signs in, a session cookie set by the authentication provider maintains the session. It is the only cookie the site sets.

A small number of display preferences, such as the chosen theme, are kept in the browser’s local storage. They are not transmitted to the corporation.

7.Retention

Waitlist information is retained until the request is withdrawn, or until the waitlist is closed and each request on it has been invited or declined.

Account information is retained while the account remains open. On request, an account and the information held against it are deleted, subject to any record the corporation is required by law to keep.

Server logs are retained for a limited period for security purposes and then discarded.

8.Access, correction and deletion

A person may request access to the personal information the corporation holds about them, its correction, or its deletion, by writing to tatsat@89stocks.com. The corporation responds within thirty days. Identity may be verified before a request is actioned.

9.Complaints

A person who is not satisfied with the corporation’s handling of their personal information may complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or, where the matter falls under federal law, to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. A person outside Canada may complain to the authority of their own jurisdiction.

10.Security

Information is transmitted over encrypted connections, and access to it within the corporation is limited to persons who require it to operate the service. No method of storage or transmission is entirely secure, and the corporation does not warrant absolute security.

11.Revisions

This notice may be revised. The current version is published at this address, and the effective date above records the most recent revision.
